    Application Process: Step-by-Step Guide

    2. Fill Out the Application Form

    • Log in and complete the application form with academic, personal, and contact details.
    • Choose your preferred area of interest/domain carefully.
    • Upload your latest CV/resume and academic transcripts.
    • You must also upload a Recommendation Letter or a Sponsorship Letter from your current academic institution.

    3. Submit and Track

    • Review all entered details before final submission.
    • After submission, you can track your application status through the dashboard.

    How Are Candidates Selected?

    • Interns are selected by respective divisions within the Ministry based on:
      • Academic performance
      • Relevant domain knowledge
      • Interest and exposure to the field
      • Recommendation by the academic institution
    • A personal or online interview (Skype/Zoom) may be conducted if necessary.

    The final list of selected candidates will be published on the internship portal.


    Internship Tenure and Work Conditions

    • Internship Period: 2 months (extendable up to 3 months based on performance and requirement).
    • Working Hours: Generally 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday to Friday (for in-office interns).
    • Mode: Mostly physical at MeitY, New Delhi. Remote work may be allowed if approved by mentors.
    • Accommodation: Not provided. Interns must arrange their own stay.
    • Library Access: Available for reference only (no borrowing).

    Stipend Details

    • A token stipend of ₹10,000 per month will be provided to each intern, subject to:
      • Satisfactory performance
      • Submission and acceptance of the internship report
      • Clearance by the project supervisor

    The stipend will be disbursed after successful completion of the internship duration.


    Internship Completion and Certification

    Upon successful completion, interns must:

    1. Submit a Project Report (soft and hard copy).
    2. Furnish a No-Demand Certificate.
    3. Obtain supervisor sign-off on the report.

    A formal Internship Completion Certificate will be issued by MeitY, duly signed by the concerned authorities.


    Important Things to Remember

    • This internship does not guarantee employment in MeitY or its associated divisions.

    • Intellectual Property Rights of the work done will remain with the Ministry.

    Termination Policy

    • Interns may be relieved without notice in case of unsatisfactory performance or breach of conduct.
    • Interns wishing to opt out must give a 2-week prior notice.
