Eligibility
To be eligible:
- Students must be pursuing their degree from AICTE/UGC-recognized institutions.
- Must have a minimum 75% marks or 7.5 CGPA.
- Should submit a referral/sponsorship letter from their college/university.
- Age limit: Below 28 years as on 15th July 2025.

Selection Process
- Candidates will be shortlisted based on academic merit and eligibility.
- Shortlisted students may be called for telephonic/video conferencing interaction.
- Final selection will be based on internal evaluation by DRDE.
- Selected students will receive an internship offer letter with instructions.
Stipend Disbursement
- A fixed stipend of ₹5000 per month will be provided.
- Disbursed in two equal installments:
- ₹15,000 after 3 months
- ₹15,000 after successful completion of 6 months
Additional Guidelines
- No accommodation or travel allowance (TA/DA) will be provided.
- Attendance will be tracked via biometric or Aadhaar system.
- No casual leaves allowed except for sick leave with valid documentation.
- Students must submit:
- A progress report after 3 months
- A final project report at the end of the internship
- Certificate of completion will be issued post successful submission of the final report.
Key Rules & Undertakings
- Interns must comply with the Indian Official Secrets Act, 1923.
- Interns must agree to IT Rules of the Ministry of Defence.
- Electronic devices like mobiles/laptops/pen drives are strictly prohibited inside the DRDE premises.
- Internship does not guarantee employment in DRDO.

Format for College Sponsorship Letter
