    Who Can Apply: Eligibility Requirements

    Academic Requirements

    1. Undergraduate engineering students:
      Must be enrolled in 4th year of a full-time B.E/B.Tech programme in the relevant discipline.

    3. Backlog clause:
      Students who have failed or have backlogs in any semester are not eligible.

    Minimum Marks Requirement

    Candidates must possess a minimum of 75% marks or 7.5 CGPA (on a 10-point scale), from an institution approved by AICTE or UGC.

    Mandatory No Objection Certificate

    Applicants must obtain a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their Principal/HOD/TPO confirming that the student will be relieved for the internship (Annexure-I format).

    Selection Process Explained

    The selection is based on merit, and the steps involved are as follows:

    1. Academic evaluation:
      Shortlisting based on CGPA/percentage.
    2. Interaction/Interview (if required):
      SAG may conduct an interview or interaction for further assessment.
    3. Document verification:
      All relevant documents will be verified before confirming the internship.
    4. Email communication:
      Only selected students will receive joining instructions through the email ID mentioned in the application form.
    5. No communication for rejected applications:
      Only shortlisted students will be informed; others will not receive updates.

    How to Apply for the SAG DRDO Internship

    The application process is entirely email-based. Follow the steps given below exactly as required.

    Step 1: Prepare Email with Correct Subject Line

    Step 2: Attach All Required Documents (Scanned Copies)

    2. NOC from the college (Annexure-I format)
    3. 10th marksheet
    4. 12th/Diploma marksheet
    5. All semester marksheets of UG/PG
    6. Aadhaar card

    Step 3: Submit Within the Deadline

    The last date is 10 days from the date of publication of the advertisement on the DRDO website (09 December 2025 + 10 days).

    Stipend Structure for the 6-Month Programme

    The internship carries a total stipend of ₹30,000, disbursed in two equal installments.

    Stipend Rules

    1. Candidates must be physically present in the laboratory for at least 15 working days per month.
    2. The stipend is transferred directly to the student’s bank account.
    3. First installment: ₹15,000 (after completion of 3 months).
    4. Second installment: ₹15,000 (after completion of 6 months).
    5. Accommodation, travel, food, and medical expenses are not covered.
    6. Attendance must comply with the lab’s procedures and timings.

    Documents Required at the Time of Joining

    Selected candidates must bring the following documents in original along with photocopies:

    1. NOC in original from the college (Annexure-I).
    2. Police Verification Certificate from the hometown or current address.
    3. Undertaking under Indian Official Secrets Act, 1923 (Annexure-II).
    4. Undertaking for compliance with IT Rules (Annexure-III).
    5. Cancelled cheque for bank account verification.
    6. Original Aadhaar card + college ID with one photocopy each.
    7. 10th, 12th/Diploma, and all semester marksheets (original + photocopies).

    Internship Rules, Conditions, and Important Points

    1. Interns will work strictly in research areas relevant to SAG/DRDO.
    2. No leave is permitted except medical leave supported by a valid prescription.
    3. All central government gazetted holidays applicable to the lab will be observed.
    4. Early withdrawal from the programme results in no certificate and no stipend release.
    5. Completion of internship does not guarantee employment with DRDO.
