    The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI), a statutory body under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, has opened its internship program for the July 2025 quarter. This initiative is part of the FSSAI Internship Scheme 2024, designed to provide young professionals and students with hands-on experience in the domain of food safety and standards regulation across India.


    About the FSSAI Internship Program

    FSSAI offers internships throughout the year to provide students with exposure to food regulatory mechanisms, scientific research, administration, and public outreach. Interns are assigned specific divisions at FSSAI Headquarters, Regional Offices, and National Food Laboratories, depending on their background and interest.


    Eligibility Criteria

    Applicants must be currently enrolled in a full-time undergraduate, postgraduate, or higher degree course from a recognized institution in India or abroad. Completed degree holders are not eligible. The eligibility differs based on the subject domain:

    A. Technical & Science Fields

    • B.Tech/BE or Postgraduate students in:
      • Food Technology / Food Science & Technology / Food & Nutrition
      • Chemistry / Biochemistry / Edible Oil Technology
      • Microbiology / Dairy Technology / Agricultural / Horticultural Sciences
      • Life Science / Biotechnology / Industrial Microbiology / Toxicology
      • Public Health / Fruit & Vegetable Technology
      • Food Safety & Quality Assurance

    B. Business & Management

    • Postgraduate students in:
      • Business Administration / Finance / Marketing / HR / Economics / Policy Regulation
      • Taxation Law / Entrepreneurship / Statistics / ICT / Psychology

    C. Communication & Policy

    • Students pursuing:
      • PG Diploma/Degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, Public Relations
      • Post Graduate Degree/Diploma in Public Policy/Public Administration

    D. IT & Legal

    • 3rd and 4th year students of B.E/B.Tech in:
      • Computer Science / Software Engineering / Information Technology
    • Bachelor/Master of Law

    E. Commerce

    • Bachelor of Commerce and equivalent streams

    Note:

    • Multiple applications will not be entertained.
    • Ensure the location selected offers the relevant domain before applying.

    Duration of Internship

    • Minimum: 2 months
    • Maximum: 6 months
    • No internship of less than 2 months will be considered.

      Domain: Food Imports Clearance, Licensing

    3. National Food Laboratories

    • NFL Ghaziabad
    • NFL Kolkata
    • NFL Chennai
    • Raxaul Extension Centre
      Domain: Food Sampling, Testing, Quality Analysis

    Facilities Provided

    • Provided: Workspace, Internet access
    • Not Provided: Local lodging, boarding, travel allowance
    • Required: Intern must bring their own laptop

    Stipend

    A stipend of ₹10,000 is provided for the complete duration, subject to performance and assessment by the reporting division.

    The stipend is awarded only to deserving interns based on:

    • Attendance record
    • Evaluation by supervisors
    • Final report/presentation quality

    Certification

    Upon successful completion, interns will be issued a Certificate of Internship by the respective FSSAI division.

    Overview: What Is the MCF Internship & Project Program?

    The Master Control Facility (MCF), a key unit of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), provides internship and academic project opportunities for students pursuing undergraduate, postgraduate, or doctoral degrees. These initiatives aim to bridge the gap between classroom learning and hands-on industry experience.


    Eligibility Criteria

    MCF offers two distinct programs: Internship and Project Work. Here’s a breakdown of who is eligible for each:

    Internship Program:

    • Nationality: Must be an Indian citizen.
    • Academic Qualification: Should be enrolled in a recognized Indian or foreign university (UG/PG/PhD level).
    • Course Type: Only students of regular on-campus programs are eligible.
    • Academic Standing: Open to students from the 5th semester / 3rd year onward.
    • Completion Clause: Recent graduates (within 6 months of course completion) are also eligible.

    Project Trainee Program:

    • For B.E./B.Tech: Must have completed 6th semester. Duration: Minimum 45 days.
    • For M.E./M.Tech: Must have completed 1st semester. Duration: Minimum 120 days.
    • For M.Sc.: Completion of 1st semester is required. Duration: Minimum 120 days.
    • Academic Performance: A minimum of 60% marks or CGPA of 6.32 on a 10-point scale.
