    IIT Dharwad Summer Internship 2025: Complete Details, Eligibility, Application Process, and Last Date

    The Indian Institute of Technology Dharwad (IIT Dharwad) has announced its Summer Internship Program 2025, offering a golden opportunity for students to gain hands-on research experience. This prestigious internship program is open to undergraduate and postgraduate students across multiple disciplines. Here’s everything you need to know about the program, including eligibility, application process, deadlines, stipend, and more.


    Eligibility Criteria

    To apply for the IIT Dharwad Summer Internship Program 2025, candidates must meet the following criteria:

    • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate (B.Tech, B.Sc, BS-MS) or postgraduate (M.Tech, M.Sc, PhD) program in science, engineering, mathematics, humanities, or allied fields from a recognized Indian university/institute.
    • A minimum CGPA of 6.5 or 65% in the last completed semester.
    • Available for a minimum of 1 month and a maximum of 2 months during the internship period at IIT Dharwad.

    Internship Duration

    The internship period is scheduled as follows:

    • Minimum Duration: 1 month
    • Maximum Duration: 2 months
    • Internship Dates: Between May 12, 2025 – July 15, 2025

    3. Select the department and faculty mentor based on your research interests.
    4. Upload the required documents:
      • Recent passport-size photograph
      • Updated resume
      • Latest marksheet
      • Bonafide certificate from your institute (with the principal’s signature and seal)
    5. Submit the application before the deadline.
    6. Await shortlisting and interview confirmation.

    Important Deadlines

    • Application Start Date: March 1, 2025
    • Last Date to Apply: March 23, 2025
    • Announcement of Selected Candidates: April 15, 2025
    • Internship Commencement: May 12, 2025

    Selection Process

    The selection process consists of:

    1. Preliminary Screening: Based on academic qualifications and submitted documents.
    2. Online Interview: Conducted by the assigned faculty mentor at IIT Dharwad.
    3. Final Selection: Candidates will be informed via email. No separate notification will be sent to non-selected candidates.

    Stipend & Certification

    • Stipend: There is no provision for a stipend, travel allowance, or monetary support.
    • Certification: Interns who successfully complete the program and receive satisfactory performance feedback from their faculty mentor will be awarded an Internship Completion Certificate.

    Accommodation & Facilities

    • Free hostel accommodation and meals will be provided for selected interns, subject to availability.
    • No additional costs such as electricity or water charges will be imposed on the interns.

    The application form consists of four key sections:

    1. Personal and Educational Details: Enter your full name, contact details, academic background, and latest CGPA.
    2. Department & Faculty Selection: Choose the research department and up to three faculty mentors.
    3. Document Upload: Attach all necessary files, including your resume, latest marksheet, and bonafide certificate.
    4. Miscellaneous Questions: Answer additional questions regarding your research interests and previous projects.
