    The Indian Institute of Remote Sensing (IIRS) under the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has announced its External Student Internship Programme for 2026.     Who Can Apply – Eligibility Criteria

    The internship is divided into two main categories — the General Internship Scheme and the Student Project Trainee Scheme — each with separate eligibility norms.

    1. General Internship Scheme

    • Nationality: Must be an Indian citizen
    • Education Level: UG, PG, or Ph.D. students from recognised universities in India or abroad
    • Academic Requirement: Minimum 60% aggregate marks or 6.32 CGPA (scale of 10)
    • Course Field: Science/Technology disciplines relevant to IIRS activities
    • Recent Graduates: Those who have completed their course within 6 months of applying are also eligible
    • Minimum Duration: 45 days

    Selection Process

    3. Confirmation: Selected candidates will receive an email and can also view their status via the IIRS admission portal.
    4. No Individual Communication: Non-selected applicants will not be informed separately.

    4. Provide Educational Information: Include semester completed, CGPA/percentage, university name, and discipline.
    5. Upload Required Documents: Aadhaar, photograph, NOC/recommendation letter, academic mark sheets.
    6. Select Course/Internship Type: Choose between Internship Scheme or Project Trainee Scheme and relevant field.
